I want to let you know that Jesus knows what you are going through. He knows your pain and wants to come alongside and help you.
You can choose to have a relationship with Him and to accept His love and grace.
It will be the best decision you ever make and it will change your life as it did mine.
We all make mistakes. These mistakes, whether big or small, are called “sin” in the Bible and this is what keeps us from having a relationship with God. Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. The result of our sin is a spiritual death. In Romans 6:23 it says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” That is the good news. There is hope in Christ Jesus. All you need to do is turn away from sin towards Him (the Bible calls this repentance), and He’ll forgive you completely.
When you do this, you are giving Jesus all of your hurts and in exchange He gives you everything He has for you which is peace, joy, a restored relationship with Him and a fresh start in life.
Before you were even born, Jesus died for you, to save you from all your sin. He knew the choices that you would make and He chose to save you anyway! No matter what you’ve done or been through, He loves you and wants a relationship with you.
John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.“
Jesus was God’s perfect son (He did not sin) and yet He chose to take on all of our sin, and die for us on the cross. He did this for you!
Knowing Jesus is simply recognizing your need for Him, repenting of your sin, believing that He died and was resurrected for you… and inviting Him to be your Savior, your advocate, your friend.
God says in Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you are ready to start a new life with Jesus leading you and experience His true peace and joy in your life, pray this simple prayer out loud:
Jesus, I know that I have made mistakes and I need You to save my life — I need You as my Savior. I have tried to do things on my own for too long , and I know it doesn’t work. So today, I give my life to You. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the dead. Help me to live my life for You and You alone. Thank You for Your unending love, forgiveness and grace in my life. Thank You for a fresh start! Today, I start out my new life as a part of Your family. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
